What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions taken in accordance with site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report maintenance, access control, and/or security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify access permissions when required, and assist with directing visitors and/or deliveries in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Support daily operations by communicating with site contacts and/or local responders, following post orders, and helping to address issues that may impact the location.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
