As a Security Officer Entry Screening in West Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant details with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, work areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help identify unusual activity, access concerns, and/or potential policy violations.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials when required, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas such as offices, production spaces, and equipment locations.
- Support site operations by reporting maintenance concerns, assisting with visitor directions, and following communication protocols related to security-related incidents, disturbances, and/or emergency conditions.
Minimum Requirements
- Have 1+ years of law enforcement experience or 2+ years of security-related supervisor/manager experience or 3+ years of security-related experience.
- Provide proof of high school diploma or GED.
- X-ray screening experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
