Corrections General Industries Factory Foreperson - SCI Dallas
Description of Work
This position guides inmate workers and maintains safe and effective production within the SCI Dallas CI Garment and Mattress Plant. It focuses on training, oversight, safety, and operational support across multiple work areas. As a Corrections General Industries Factory Foreperson, you will perform the following duties:
- Worker Training: Instruct inmate workers in manufacturing methods and safe tool and equipment use
- Operational Records: Complete daily production logs, enter data, and submit attendance information
- Safety Monitoring: Search work areas for contraband, monitor inmate movement, and maintain tool control
- Plant Oversight: Use software to track orders, materials, shipping, and purchasing needs
- Production Support: Review reports, help set production goals, and recommend equipment improvements
Qualifications Required
Required Experience and Training Requirements: Three years of experience in the production of goods or services; or an associate degree in industrial technology, operations management, business administration, or a related field; and one year of work experience in the production of goods or services; or an equivalent combination of experience and training, which includes one year of work experience in the production of goods or services.
