Corrections Facility Coordinator 1

About the role

Provides oversight of the daily operations of State Correctional Facility's Central Receiving, Laundry, Mail Room, State Shop, Inventory Control, ensuring fire safety and sanitation policies and procedures are met.

Responsibilities

• Operates the assigned area of the facility, including managing specialty assignments to assist with Security and Maintenance Departments.
• Ensures all staff and inmates comply with Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation policies, institutional operating procedures, and post orders.
• Serves as a lead worker, overseeing and guiding the work of other co-workers.
• Acquires and manages the inventory of all materials, supplies, and equipment necessary for assigned areas of operations.

Requirements

• Training: Graduation from high school or equivalent.
• Experience: Four years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience, one year of which must have been in a lead worker capacity.
• Substitution: Coursework from an accredited college or university may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis for up to four years of experience.
