Responsibilities
- Makes travel arrangements with company-authorized air, hotel, car, and ground transportation vendors at the best possible fares for client’s needs and requests in a virtual environment.
- Fulfills company procedures, guidelines, and standards in the areas of customer service, building PNRs and utilization of front room CRS productivity via calls and emails, attendance, accuracy of work, invoicing, etc.
- Specializes in one area or any combination thereof, making domestic and international business travel arrangements.
- Affirms and applies airline rules and tariffs (domestic/International), and other industry requirements accurately when making travel arrangements.
- Keeps immediate supervisor informed of all matters of significance.
- Projects a favorable image of Altour.
- Promotes Altour’s aims and objectives, fostering and enhancing public recognition and acceptance of all its areas of endeavor.
- Delivers extraordinary customer service to onsite passengers and their administrative staff.
- Greet all clients warmly and with enthusiasm.
- Exudes an impeccable professional demeanor at all times.
- Comfortable servicing and interfacing with C-level executives and their administrative staff.
- Provides consultative service to travelers and travel arrangers throughout the booking process.
- Completes all reservations in an accurate and timely manner.
- Secures the lowest air/car/hotel rates available at the time of booking.
- Utilizes client and Altour negotiated programs when applicable.
- Utilizes GDS low-fare search capabilities.
Qualifications
- Diplomacy and tact are required in contact with vendors, co-workers, and clients.
- Courteous, professional telephone manner.
- Superior problem-solving skills.
- Able to work holidays that correspond with regularly scheduled workdays.
- Minimum of 3 years of travel agency experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in the travel industry including proficiency in the Sabre CRS system.
- Will need training on Travelport +.
- Regular and dependable attendance and punctuality are required.
- Proficient in Sabre and passes a GDS assessment.
- Proficient with both international and domestic destination Geography.
- 3+ years of Customer service experience, preferably in the travel industry.
- Exceptional/above & beyond, proactive customer service approach.
- Comfort and experience working with C-level travelers.
- Ability to handle multiple complex requests simultaneously and seamlessly.
- Proactive in obtaining travel preferences.
- Performs unique requests with the utmost professionalism.
- Mastery in Sabre GDS specifically: GDS formats, shortcuts, enhancements, pricing, Corporate travel experience required.
- Expert in international travel bookings and process.
- Exceptional communication skills both written and oral.
- Outstanding attention to detail.

- Physical Requirements: Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. The job requires employees to sit for extended periods without being able to leave the work area. Repetitive motion, substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers.
