Corporate Travel Consultant

Responsibilities
- Assist the Principal Advisor business owner on all aspects of corporate travel for their clients.
- Creatively understand, evaluate, assess, and support client assistance needs, offering professional advice to solve travel and transportation problems while ensuring compliance with corporate policies.
- Finalize air, car, and hotel bookings using the Sabre reservation system after researching all available options.
- Issue tickets, exchanges, MCOs, voids, and refunds using the Sabre reservation system.
- Handle invoicing as required utilizing Sabre or Agent Portal.
- Reconfirm booked and confirmed travel prior to, immediately before, and during travel, using problem-solving skills to ensure client satisfaction throughout the trip.
- Research destinations, accommodations, travel advisories, reviews, and costs using the internet to meet customers’ travel objectives.
- Resolve customer service issues directly with vendors to achieve the best resolution for clients and the company, keeping the independent advisor informed.
- Plan international travel with knowledge of world geography, routing, faring, and international travel requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or at least three (3) years of experience as a full-time travel agent booking domestic and international travel using public and private carriers.
- Strong knowledge of the Sabre reservation system (preferably in Native), including GDS formats, shortcuts, enhancements, pricing, fare calculations, e-ticketing, and exchanges.
- Self-starter capable of independently servicing travel and concierge needs with minimal supervision, maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and a personal touch.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly relay information and counsel clients on travel options.
- Excellent dispute resolution skills.
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple responsibilities.
- Enthusiasm and willingness to learn, with strong time management skills.
