About the role

Global Travel Collection (GTC), part of Internova Travel Group, is the most influential collection of international luxury travel advisors. Responsibilities

  • Provide highly personalized travel consulting services to valued customers, including air, hotel, car, and limo bookings.
  • Support an established Principal Advisor with a high-volume, fast-paced business.
  • Creatively and independently assess client needs and offer professional advice to solve travel and transportation challenges while adhering to corporate policies.
  • Identify, prioritize, and decide on tasks necessary to fulfill client needs.
  • Investigate and recommend travel options based on individualized client preferences with minimal supervision.
  • Finalize air, car, and hotel bookings, issue tickets, and handle invoicing, exchanges, MCOs, voids, and refunds using the Sabre reservation system.
  • Reconfirm booked travel before and during trips, ensuring problem-solving support throughout the client’s journey.
  • Perform quality control by independently reviewing client reservations for accuracy.
  • Research destinations, accommodations, travel advisories, reviews, and costs using the internet to meet clients’ travel objectives.
  • Resolve customer service issues directly with vendors to achieve the best outcomes for clients and the company while keeping the independent advisor informed.
  • Plan international travel with knowledge of world geography, routing, faring, and international travel requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or at least three (3) years of experience as a full-time travel agent booking domestic and international travel using public and private carriers.
  • Strong knowledge of the Sabre reservation system (preferably in graphical mode), including GDS formats, shortcuts, enhancements, pricing, fare calculations, e-ticketing, and exchanges.
  • Knowledge of an online booking tool (Concur) and use of finishing scripts in Sabre is a plus.

  • Self-starter capable of independently servicing the travel and concierge needs of GTC clients with minimal supervision, maintaining professionalism and a positive attitude.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly relay information and counsel clients on travel options.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to respond to clients as needed.
  • Excellent dispute resolution skills.
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic about learning.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple responsibilities.

The salary range in this posting complies with pay transparency laws and reflects a wide range based on factors such as years of experience, geographical location, and budget. The range applies to U.S. candidates; international candidates will receive a salary based on the local market.
