About the role
The firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of experience in Corporate Transactions to join our dynamic and growing team.
Responsibilities
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating NDAs, commercial sales, and vendor agreements.
- Familiarity with mergers and acquisitions.
- Providing advice and negotiation support to clients regarding contractual provisions, compliance, risk mitigation, and assessment.
- Thinking critically and on one's feet.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Personable and frequent interaction with clients.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor degree (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in New York.
- 2-5 years of experience with Corporate Transactions.
- Ability to build rapport with clients.
- Experience in Transactional Law.
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible, work independently with limited oversight, and prioritize work tasks effectively.
- Proven ability to creatively accomplish organization goals while assessing and managing legal risk.
- Collaborative with a can-do attitude balanced with the ability to gracefully communicate difficult messages.
- Comfortable working with all levels of business professionals, including senior management and colleagues across different departments in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite.
