About the Role
We are seeking an Attorney to join the Business & Finance Practice Group in our Pittsburgh office. The Attorney will work closely with our shareholders in the Business & Finance Group, supporting commercial clients across disciplines including mergers, acquisitions, real estate, estate and trusts, and corporate finance.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients and support shareholders in connection with mergers & acquisitions and commercial lending transactions.
- Draft and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts, including purchasing and supply agreements, leases, NDAs, and employment contracts.
- Handle entity formation, governance, and tax considerations in connection with formation and structuring.
Note: Responsibilities may evolve to meet the ongoing needs of clients and the firm.
Requirements
- Juris Doctorate and license to practice law in Pennsylvania.
- 3-7 years' experience practicing as a licensed attorney at a law firm, corporation, or government.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong business acumen and ability to articulate on behalf of the client.
- Knowledge of the business development process and understanding of client objectives.
- Solid writing and editing skills with an emphasis on impactful and persuasive messaging.
- Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Maintain a professional appearance and provide a positive firm image to the public.

Work Environment
- Travel as required outside worksites beyond the corporate office.
- Perform sedentary work exerting up to ten (10) pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible force frequently.
- Tasks requiring manual dexterity, kneeling, standing, walking, crouching, stooping, reaching, and similar physical activities.
- Operate a computer, fax, copier, and telephone.
- Work is generally performed in a temperature-controlled office environment.
Schedule
This is a salaried full-time position with flexible schedules to accommodate business and billable hour objectives. Regular firm office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., with support available during these hours. Arrangements can be made for support outside of normal business hours.
