The Recruiting Manager researches, develops, and implements effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified talent. You’ll also oversee and audit the onboarding process to ensure compliance. This is a full-time, exempt role reporting to the VP of HR, with up to 25% travel required.
Responsibilities
- Develop, facilitate, and implement all phases of the recruitment process.
- Collaborate with department managers to identify and draft detailed, accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
- Identify and implement efficient, effective recruiting methods and strategies tailored to each role, industry standards, and organizational needs.
- Post and advertise job openings.
- Screen applications and select qualified candidates.
- Schedule interviews; prepare interview questions and other hiring materials.
- Assist with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with hiring managers and HR during the offer process, recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other details.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Attend and participate in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
- Manage the onboarding process and support field General Managers; audit I-9s and new-hire profiles.
- Assist with HR projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 2 years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and negotiation tactics.
- Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for a variety of roles.
- Proactive, independent, and able to take initiative.
- Excellent time management with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with hiring laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Proficient with applicant-tracking software or ability to quickly learn recruitment systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; Paylocity knowledge a plus.
- SHRM-CP or HRCI certification is a plus.
