Corporate Practice Manager

We are looking for a collaborative Corporate Practice Manager to support our associates within the Corporate group, focusing on workflow management and career development. This role plays an integral part in implementing group initiatives and fostering associate retention and growth.

About the role

• Serve as a trusted resource for associates, helping them manage workflow, time, and bandwidth within the free market system.
• Support junior associates post-integration through the "Fenwick First program," ensuring smooth navigation of the firm’s workflow system.
• Manage work allocation and utilization, assisting partners and associates with staffing and workflow challenges.
• Evaluate practice group needs by analyzing data, identifying resource gaps, and supporting recruiting efforts.
• Oversee orientation, integration, and off-boarding processes for lateral and junior associates.
• Lead associate engagement initiatives, fostering collaboration through morale-building events and in-office activities.
• Collaborate with partners, Practice Support Lawyers, and Legal Training teams to plan and conduct formal training programs for the Corporate Practice Group.
• Support the evaluation and development process in partnership with the Legal Personnel team.
• Work with the Knowledge Management team to test, roll out, and maintain key tools, including AI resources.
• Drive AI initiatives within the Corporate Practice Group, identifying efficiency opportunities and developing training for responsible AI use.
• Assist in strategic decision-making for the group alongside practice leaders and management.
• Contribute to additional initiatives, projects, or tasks as needed by the Practice Management team.

• Experience using AI tools to improve efficiency, support data analysis, and identify practical applications while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of manager-level experience at a law firm or in professional services (practice management or staffing support experience is a plus).
• Bachelor’s degree required; JD or MBA is a plus.

Schedule

• Full-time exempt role.
• 3 days per week in-office (additional days as needed for business or client requirements).
• May be based in any U.S. Fenwick office except Washington, D.C.

Pay

Anticipated base salary range: $153,000 – $228,750. Actual salary may vary based on qualifications, experience, education, certifications, and location. Eligible employees may also receive a discretionary bonus based on performance.
