Corporate Performance Management (CPM) Consultant
About The Position
Velosio is looking for a Corporate Performance Management (CPM) Consultant to join the DPS Team. The role involves leading the implementation of reporting, budgeting, and forecasting solutions for clients across various industries. Key responsibilities include interfacing with clients to understand their reporting and budgeting needs, building and testing reports and templates, training clients, and assisting with the installation and assessment of CPM tools.
Responsibilities
- Perform discovery and requirements gathering with clients on reports and visualizations for decision-making
- Perform discovery and requirements with clients on budget templates for capturing information for budget and forecast processes
- Build, test, and deliver reports and templates
- Train end-user clients on the use of deployed tools and reports/templates
- Assist in the installation of various CPM solutions
- Create level of effort estimates to develop report and budget templates
- Provide assessments on the selection and use of CPM tools
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 6+ years of experience focused on data, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Deep proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI
- Understanding of GAAP, IFRS, operational, management, and audit-based reporting
- Knowledge or interest in learning about budget and forecast approaches like zero-based budgeting, driver-based budgeting, and sensitivity analysis
Qualifications
- Knowledge or experience with CPM tools such as Solver, Jet, Cosmos, Prophix, Vena, Anaplan, Cognos, Hyperion, or Planful
- Experience with bottoms-up, top-down, zero-based budgeting techniques
- Knowledge or conversancy on best-practices forecasting techniques
- Microsoft technical certifications
- Experience with or knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Process-oriented with strong documentation skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with a keen sense of customer service
- Conversancy and exposure to: Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, Azure Machine Learning, Azure Cognitive Services
What You'll Bring
- BS or MS degree in Accounting or Finance
