Corporate Paralegal

About the Role

Total Wine & More is seeking a Corporate Paralegal to join our Legal team in our Bethesda, MD office. You will support the Legal Department in managing a variety of legal matters including corporate governance, litigation, regulatory compliance, licensing, and internal documentation. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently on routine and moderately complex tasks. You will serve as a liaison between internal teams, external counsel, vendors, and government agencies. This role reports to the General Counsel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain organized systems for electronic legal files, workflows, and the store expansion database to ensure timely access and updates.
• Implement licensing processes for store operating companies, including tracking applications, renewals, and regulatory submissions.
• Assess legal documentation and correspondence for accuracy and completeness, supporting litigation and compliance efforts.
• Resolve routine legal and administrative issues by coordinating with internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Support the Legal Department with administrative tasks such as file organization, meeting coordination, expense reporting, and managing confidential communications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1 - 4 years’ experience as a paralegal within a law firm or corporate office environment.
• Strong technical skills in Excel and document management systems (e.g., Relativity, Concordance).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing work environment.
• Ability to interact professionally with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail.
