About the role
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we are seeking a Paralegal to join our growing Global Corporate Subsidiaries Operations Team.
Responsibilities
- Help Stripe grow, streamline, and manage its global subsidiary portfolio, through incorporations, dissolutions, and organizational restructuring.
- Support various entity management matters, including scheduling board and shareholder meetings, managing meeting materials, and coordinating with directors, shareholders, and stakeholders.
- Prepare board, shareholder, and committee meeting minutes, written resolutions, and Secretary’s certificates.
- Collaborate with the Compliance organization to meet and fulfill regulatory requirements for Stripe’s regulated subsidiaries.
- Respond to requests from internal and external auditors, regulators, financial partners, and other stakeholders regarding KYC and UBO information and documents.
- Identify areas for process improvement using technology and contribute to enhancing team efficiency.
- Assist with special projects as directed by leadership.
Requirements
- A Paralegal certificate and/or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum 5-7+ years of relevant corporate paralegal experience with a law firm and/or in-house at a public or private company.
- Experience working with large international private or public company boards.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, handle multiple projects, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Action and results-oriented, with good judgment in a fast-paced, high-growth, and dynamic environment.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, high level of accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Ability to deal effectively with a variety of individuals/stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Proficiency with Google and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A positive attitude, collaborative mindset, and a desire to be part of a strong, supportive team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Licensed Notary Public (in any US state).
- Proficiency working with Blueprint data management portal or similar, board portals like Diligent and BoardVantage, and CounselLink.
