Corporate M&A Counsel/Partner

About the role

Responsibilities

• Handle a broad range of corporate and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, joint ventures, corporate governance, and general business counseling
• Lead complex deals
• Manage client relationships
• Serve as a trusted advisor to middle-market businesses and investors
• Mentor junior attorneys
• Collaborate across practice groups

Qualifications

• 6+ years of corporate/M&A experience gained at a law firm
• Significant experience leading and negotiating mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other complex business transactions
• Strong client management and business development skills
• Experience mentoring junior attorneys and collaborating across practice groups
• Tennessee bar admission or ability to become admitted
