Corporate Counsel (M&A)

About the Role

We are seeking a Legal Consultant to join our team on a contract basis. This remote position offers a flexible commitment of 10-40 hours per week, with compensation ranging from $140 to $400 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive legal analysis on various US law topics, providing nuanced insights and guidance.
• Perform in-depth legal research to support project objectives and ensure current, accurate information is utilized.
• Draft, review, and edit legal content, including memoranda, opinions, contracts, and other relevant documents.
• Assess and provide structured feedback on legal texts for clarity, accuracy, and alignment with best practices.
• Participate in remote, multidisciplinary collaboration to refine project deliverables and address complex legal scenarios.
• Contribute to content quality assurance by spotting errors, inconsistencies, or ambiguities in legal materials.

Requirements

• Active license to practice law with strong academic credentials.
• Strong relevant experience at a top-tier US law firm, with exposure to varied practice areas.
• Proven abilities in legal analysis, research, and drafting across a range of legal subjects.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated experience in legal content review.
• Track record of successful remote collaboration and participation in multidisciplinary projects.
• Experience with quality assurance and rubric-based evaluation of legal documents is a plus.
