Title: Corporate Legal Assistant Hiring Organization: Connexion Systems & Engineering Compensation, Benefits, And Employment Type Duration: direct hire, full-timePay rate: $80,000 - $85,000 annually, depending on experience + annual bonusJob Location: Boston, MAWork Model: hybrid, 3 days onsite, 2 days remote Schedule: Monday – Friday, 1st shift Job#: bh19543 Description We are seeking an experienced Corporate Legal Assistant to join a well-established, multi-office law firm in Boston. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized, polished legal professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and providing high-level support to attorneys and clients. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of legal secretarial or legal assistant experience, preferably gained within a mid-size or large law firm. Experience supporting multiple attorneys and working within a sophisticated corporate legal practice is highly valued. This position plays an important role in managing attorney workflow, coordinating client and matter information, supporting transactions and filings, and ensuring exceptional service to both attorneys and clients. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to multiple attorneys and timekeepers.Type, edit, format, and proofread moderate to complex legal documents.Prepare and organize documents for client transactions, filings, and regulatory submissions.Manage digital and paper files in accordance with firm protocols, including document naming and filing standards.Coordinate client and matter intake, including gathering required information, tracking New Business Intake (NBI) status, and supporting engagement letter completion.Communicate client billing requirements, rates, and related information to appropriate personnel.Support billing processes, including editing billing narratives and assisting with pre-bill review and month-end closing requirements.Monitor deadlines and proactively remind attorneys of upcoming deliverables and time-entry requirements.Coordinate travel arrangements and other administrative needs.Conduct basic Lexis and internet research as needed.Delegate tasks to appropriate firm resources and coordinate with other legal assistants to ensure assignments are completed accurately and on time.Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive client and firm information.Anticipate attorney and client needs and follow through to ensure issues are resolved promptly.Utilize firm technology and information resources to locate billing, client, matter, and other administrative information.Perform additional project or administrative support duties as needed. Qualifications 5+ years of legal secretarial or legal assistant experience.Prior experience supporting attorneys in a mid-size or large law firm strongly preferred.Corporate legal experience preferred.Strong understanding of legal documents, court procedures, regulatory filings, and general legal administrative processes.Ability to support multiple attorneys in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.Excellent written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills.Strong proofreading and document production abilities.Ability to produce accurate documents from handwritten notes, rough drafts, oral instructions, and other source materials.Strong client-service mindset with excellent judgment and follow-through.Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a collaborative team.High degree of professionalism, discretion, confidentiality, and attention to detail.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.Experience with legal technology and document management systems such as FileSite, CMS, DTE, PDF applications, electronic court filing systems, and related legal software is highly desirable.Ability and willingness to learn new software applications and firm-specific systems.
