The Company is based in Houston, TX and is currently hiring a Corporate Controller to oversee all accounting and financial reporting functions and support the continued expansion of our project portfolio. The RoleThe Corporate Financial Controller manages the month-end and year-end close processes, ensures accurate preparation of financial statements, and maintains compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements. The Corporate Controller leads the accounting team, oversees general ledger operations, and implements robust internal controls to safeguard assets and support audit readiness. Day-to-day responsibilities include budgeting and forecasting support, variance analysis, cash flow monitoring, and collaboration with operational and clinical leaders to provide financial insights that inform strategic decisions. The role also drives process improvements, supports technology and system enhancements within finance, and contributes to long-range financial planning. Essential Functions/OperationsOversee all accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledgerPrepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAPManage the annual budgeting and forecasting processDevelop and maintain internal controls and accounting policiesSupervise and mentor the accounting teamCoordinate with external auditors and manage annual audit processMonitor cash flow and manage banking relationshipsOversee job cost accounting and work-in-progress reporting for construction projectsPrepare financial analyses and reports for executive leadershipEnsure compliance with all tax filings and regulatory requirementsSupport bonding and insurance renewal processes with financial documentationEvaluate and implement improvements to accounting systems and processes QualificationsStrong foundation in Accounting and Finance, with the ability to manage general ledger activities and oversee full-cycle accounting processes.Demonstrated expertise in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, including preparation, review, and compliance with relevant standards.Advanced Analytical Skills, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and data-driven decision support.Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and Excel, including financial modeling and reporting tools.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred.Progressive experience in corporate accounting or controllership roles, ideally within retail, wholesale, or multi-location businesses.Strong leadership and people-management capabilities, with experience guiding and developing accounting teams.Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
