Corporate Finance Analyst - Financial Institutions Advisory

About the Role

As an Analyst at Huron, you’ll collaborate with clients in banking, asset management, and insurance to drive strategic growth, innovation, and transformation. You’ll work across diverse projects, contributing to the design of policy governance frameworks, supporting Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) initiatives, and developing implementation strategies. In addition to client work, you’ll participate in team culture initiatives and social events, gaining hands-on experience and access to training and coaching.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to the design and maintenance of a policy governance framework
• Supports several Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) initiatives
• Analyzes differences in policy management approaches and identifies leading practices for financial institutions
• Identifies good industry practices for formalization in the Policy Framework
• Develops and implements an implementation strategy for Policy Framework activities
• Creates processes for review, monitoring, and reporting
• Supports the development and maintenance of the Managerial Governance Framework
• Consults with business and corporate segments on good industry practices
• Updates the Enterprise Risk Management Framework and risk identification processes
• Provides governance training and education related to the frameworks
• Supports risk-related mandates and charters

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in banking, finance, economics, or law
• Internship experience in relevant industry or risk management, and/or accreditation
• Conceptual and practical thinking and implementation skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Confidence to uphold standards and influence partners
• Process design and analysis skills
• Time management and multi-tasking abilities
• Research, analysis, and judgment skills
• Initiative, relationship building, and facilitation skills
