Corporate Finance Accountant II-8
This position
The Corporate Finance Accountant II will report directly to the Corporate Finance Manager and will be responsible for analyzing multiple aspects of certain balance sheet accounts, including monthly reconciliation and complex accounting transactions. This role will contribute to the monthly finance close process as well as the annual year-end audit.
Responsibilities
- Reconcile several liability accounts, including tax-liability accounts, refund liability accounts, retainage payable, capital accrual accounts and accounts payable accounts.
- Record month-end close entries to ensure accruals are made properly and provide adequate support and justification upon request.
- Assist other general ledger accountants in journal entry preparation, assist with filing and recording supporting documentation, and perform other administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in a business-related field and three (3) years of work experience in a business-related field such as accounting, business, audit, or finance.
- Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- A solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and Outlook software; Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat software is a plus.
Preferred
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting with hospital/healthcare based work experience.
- MBA, MHA, CHFP, or CPA designation.
