About the role
This role will lead operational priorities focused on execution quality, efficiency, safety, and measurable performance outcomes. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within a Technical Services environment.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute the company’s annual conference from venue selection to on-site production
- Manage the company’s presence at major industry tradeshows, ensuring a consistent brand experience
- Oversee high-touch customer events and coordinate closely with Sales and Customer Success leadership
- Manage all event budgets, track spending, negotiate vendor contracts, and seek cost efficiencies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align event goals with broader business objectives
- Handle vendor relationships and logistics, including contract negotiations and RFP management
- Measure and report on event success using defined KPIs, and provide actionable post-event insights
- Develop clear timelines and staffing plans, leading on-site teams to ensure seamless execution
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in corporate events, meeting planning, or field marketing, including managing conferences of 500+ attendees and tradeshows
- Experience in managing executive-level customer advisory programs
- Strong skills in vendor negotiation and budget management, particularly for six- and seven-figure budgets
- Excellent project management skills to juggle multiple events and deadlines
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence senior executives and stakeholders
- Familiarity with event management and registration software like Cvent or Splash, and general marketing/business tools
- Willingness to travel 30-40%, including evenings and weekends during events
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, or a related field
Pay
$123,000 – $155,000 annually
