Corporate EHS Specialist

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure that all the Carrollton Corporate Office, Operations Offices, Auxiliary sales offices and sites enterprise wide management staff and appropriate operational personnel are aware of current and pending regulatory requirements
• Assist in creating processes that identify, evaluate, and control hazards in the workplace
• Provide and track training to comply with applicable OSHA requirements
• Provide industrial hygiene support as needed to evaluate employee noise and other health exposures
• Manage all mandatory air, water and waste compliance assurance-monitoring activities at the facility, including DOT
• Establish and maintain appropriate chemical inventory record systems to satisfy regulatory tracking requirements
• Provide training for staff in relation to environmental, health and safety policies, practices and procedures

Required Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering or Science discipline or other program applicable to the health, safety and environmental fields are required
• Requires minimum of three years of experience working in industrial health, safety and environmental activities
• Working knowledge of the VPP process and various safety regulations or standards (OSHA, NFPA, ANSI, NEC, etc.)
• Professional certification is desired
• Ability to work non-traditional hours or shifts
• Must have excellent verbal and written skills along with exceptional interpersonal skills
