The Compliance Counsel will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the company’s ethics and legal compliance objectives, including providing advice and counseling in the areas of anti-bribery and the company’s Code of Conduct. Responsibilities

  • Support development and management of ethics and compliance programs, policies, procedures, and training
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to business and corporate teams across the U.S. and Canada on the Code of Conduct, policy governance, anti-bribery, antitrust, and other ethics and compliance matters
  • Coordinate with Legal Department colleagues in Latin America on regional compliance matters and other cross-border initiatives
  • Deliver ethics and legal compliance trainings, drive employee engagement and awareness campaigns, and foster a culture of integrity and compliance
  • Support the company’s enterprise risk self-assessment program, including facilitating periodic risk self-assessments and developing compliance metrics
  • Coordinate ethics and compliance integration activities for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic transactions
  • Manage and provide recommendations for employee requests related to gifts/entertainment, political contributions, and external activities
  • Anticipate legal developments and best practices in ethics and compliance that could impact Daikin’s U.S. operations
  • Collaborate with the legal team and business partners to align company priorities with Core Values, Code of Conduct, and applicable laws
  • Anticipate, research, and communicate on legal issues that could impact the company
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited Law School
  • Admission to the bar of the State of Minnesota
  • 4+ years of in-house, law firm, and/or regulatory agency experience in ethics and compliance

Pay

The typical pay rate for this position ranges from $113,800.00 - $193,900 + 20% bonus in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual pay rate will depend on factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
