Corporate Counsel

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and review commercial transactions, contracts and agreements
• Provide counsel regarding interpretation of active contracts and handle contractual dispute resolution
• Significant involvement in contractual matters throughout the entire contract lifecycle, from formation to termination, for agreements pertaining to diverse subjects
• Manage multiple contracts and projects in a deadline-driven environment
• Work with the legal and risk management department and business leadership to assist or lead on a variety of projects related to process improvements, risk mitigation, and legal policy development
• Collaborate with external vendors and legal counsel as necessary

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate required
• At least 3 years of experience in a law firm (preferably Am Law 100 firm) or as an in-house corporate attorney
• Ability to work effectively within a demanding, deadline-driven environment
• Experience with information privacy laws, HIPAA, PHI, BAA, and related agreements and information privacy laws preferred
• Knowledge of employment law a plus
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is required
• Project Management experience preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently or as a member of a team
• Travel up to 10%

Pay

The national pay rate range for this job position is $132,020 to $200,240. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of relevant factors including but not limited to applicant’s skills, prior experience, qualifications, degrees, professional certifications, work arrangements, and geographic location. The pay rate in California is $134,960-$177,120.
