Corporate Counsel, Amazon Leo Product
Description
Alexa Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of low Earth orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. This role will serve as product counsel for strategic initiatives related to our consumer products and services. You will be responsible for counseling Amazon Leo's product marketing, engineering, compliance, and operations teams on a wide range of issues across our consumer and residential business.
Export Control Requirement

Key job responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive legal counsel for consumer product and service strategic initiatives
- Develop flexible legal frameworks that balance risk management with business innovation
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support Amazon Leo's expansion goals
- Create processes that enable swift product development while maintaining regulatory compliance
- Support strategic initiatives with nuanced legal guidance

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of legal experience
- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
- Experience in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts
- Experience in managing multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
- Experience advising on consumer-facing product launches, including privacy, marketing, and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions
- Knowledge of telecommunications, satellite, or broadband regulatory frameworks (e.g., FCC, ITU, or international equivalents) a plus
- Experience counseling engineering and product teams on data privacy, consumer protection, and compliance matters in a technology-driven organization

Compensation
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
