We are seeking a talented attorney to support the rapid growth and evolution of Amazon Ads. You will work directly with your business partners on a broad range of product matters relating to emerging technologies. Lawyers at Amazon are trusted members of the business. Principal duties

• Helping launch innovative new products and services
• Conducting legal review of program features, and customer-facing launch plans
• Structuring, drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, ranging from standard commercial contracts to strategic deals
• Resolving issues that arise in existing commercial relationships, including data use and privacy
• Handling regulatory contacts and advising on regulatory matters
• Thinking outside the box

Basic qualifications

• 5+ years of legal experience
• 5+ years of post bar admission legal experience
• Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
• Knowledge of the ethical considerations surrounding AI in the legal context, such as confidentiality, accuracy, and bias prevention
• Experience in transactional and technology licensing or equivalent

Preferred qualifications

• Can distill complex legal issues into clear, concise business guidance
• Can use AI for legal research, contract analysis, or document review experience
• Experience handling ambiguous or undefined challenges through strong problem solving abilities
• Experience working cross functionally across several teams
• Experience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
