Corporate Controller – Your Job DutiesYou will lead, develop, and mentor the corporate accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit, and customer service teams (total of approximately 9 team members including two direct reports in the Assistant Controller and Credit Manager).Oversee and manage all corporate accounting functions including general ledger maintenance, balance sheet account reconciliations, and journal entriesLead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and prepare and review financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP with a focus on accurate and timely financial reportingImplement process efficiencies across financial reporting, payments, and credit / collections functionsEnhance, implement, and maintain effective internal controls with a focus on best practices and process improvementsManage financial audits and serve as a key contact for external auditorsManage tax compliance and filing requirements in coordination with tax advisorsSupport the CFO in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial plansEnsure compliance with all applicable laws, standards and regulatory requirementsSupport contract reviews, insurance matters and other projects as needed Corporate Controller – You Have (Required Skills, Experience & Team Fit):Industry experience in consumer goods, wholesale distribution and/or retailStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting principlesExperience leading and developing teams and implementing process improvementsExperience utilizing an accounting ERP systemAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, vLookups, complex multi-tab spreadsheets)You might have:Prior experience working in public accounting or a CPA designationPrior experience working in an accounting role in the apparel industryExperience with budgeting, forecasting or FP&A Corporate Controller – Benefits for YouYour target compensation will be $180,000+ based on your experience and background.
