Responsibilities
- Lead all accounting operations including general ledger, AP, AR, fixed assets, inventory, and cost accounting.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes.
- Leverage data, automation, and standardized workflows to modernize close and reporting processes.
- Establish, maintain, and continuously improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls in compliance with GAAP.
- Lead ERP optimization and accounting process improvement initiatives.
- Direct the preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Oversee fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and impairments.
- Manage external audits, tax compliance, and regulatory reporting.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team.
- Partner with operations and executive leadership to provide actionable financial insights.
- Partner cross-functionally to elevate financial literacy across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA required; MBA or Master’s degree a plus.
- 15+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including senior leadership roles.
- Demonstrated experience leading full-cycle close, audits, and complex accounting operations.
- Proven track record of driving process improvement and system enhancements.
- Strategic and operational mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
- High integrity, sound judgment, and commitment to financial stewardship.
- Collaborative approach with the ability to influence across departments.
Skills
- Expert knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Dynamics, NetSuite, Sage, or similar.
- Experience with fixed asset systems and inventory management.
