Responsibilities

  • Lead all accounting operations including general ledger, AP, AR, fixed assets, inventory, and cost accounting.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes.
  • Leverage data, automation, and standardized workflows to modernize close and reporting processes.
  • Establish, maintain, and continuously improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls in compliance with GAAP.
  • Lead ERP optimization and accounting process improvement initiatives.
  • Direct the preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
  • Oversee fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and impairments.
  • Manage external audits, tax compliance, and regulatory reporting.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team.
  • Partner with operations and executive leadership to provide actionable financial insights.
  • Partner cross-functionally to elevate financial literacy across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA required; MBA or Master’s degree a plus.
  • 15+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including senior leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated experience leading full-cycle close, audits, and complex accounting operations.
  • Proven track record of driving process improvement and system enhancements.
  • Strategic and operational mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
  • High integrity, sound judgment, and commitment to financial stewardship.
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to influence across departments.

Skills

  • Expert knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Dynamics, NetSuite, Sage, or similar.
  • Experience with fixed asset systems and inventory management.
