About the role

We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Corporate Controller to lead our accounting operations and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
  • Manage the payroll process and ensure accurate and timely payment to employees
  • Collaborate with external auditors during bank audits and the annual financial audit
  • Managing month end close timeliness and accuracy
  • Regulatory reporting with state agencies including sales taxes
  • Preparing internal financial statements and producing external reports required by shareholders and regulators
  • Cooking insurance coverage and tax return completion
  • Treasury
  • Maintain cash flow, manage banking relationships, and optimize working capital
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and reporting requirements (IFRS)
  • Fixed asset and Lease Management, including management of Vehicle Fleet and Building Leases

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting (Master’s degree preferred)
  • CPA required
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
  • With 3+ years of Assistant Controller or higher
  • Strong knowledge of financial management principles and practices
  • Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., Oracle, Netsuite, Microsoft BC) and MS office suite
  • Previous experience in public accounting is highly desirable
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective financial report writing
