Corporate Controller

We are seeking a Corporate Controller to lead our accounting department and oversee the company’s financial operations. Reporting to senior leadership, you will own the close process, financial reporting, internal controls, audits, tax coordination, budgeting, and forecasting. You will also partner with leaders across the business on strategic planning and major decisions. Coherix operates in the United States, China, Germany, Singapore, Mexico, and Japan, so this role includes consolidation and work with a global team. Minimum Experience 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory role Education Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred) Responsibilities Lead the accounting department: supervise, coach, and develop staff, and set priorities, policies, and performance standardsOversee the general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, billing, fixed assets, stock options, and technical accountingMonitor cash flow, banking, and treasury functionsDirect the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, and prepare accurate and timely financial statements and management reportsPrepare entity-level and consolidated statements, including intercompany reconciliations, eliminations, and currency translationEnsure compliance with GAAP and applicable financial regulationsDesign, document, and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and proceduresCoordinate external audits and serve as the primary contact for auditorsOversee tax reporting and work with external tax advisorsManage annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysisCoordinate and drive the Five-Year Plan process with the President and Vice President of SalesProvide financial analysis and support for strategic planning, pricing, financing, acquisitions, and other major decisionsImprove accounting systems, ERP use, and financial processes Required Skills Strong knowledge of GAAP, the financial close, and financial statement preparationAdvanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and IF statementsAbility to perform accounting research that supports sound business decisionsStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams in a global environmentSelf-starter who finds ways to improve processes, strengthen controls, and increase efficiency Desired Skills Experience with EpicorInternational accounting and consolidation experienceFamiliarity with IFRSExperience in a manufacturing environmentCPA certification Location Ann Arbor, MI
