About the role
The Customer Service Coordinator for Classic Optical Laboratories reports to the Customer Service Manager. This individual will respond to customer, contract, and health plan inquiries, ensuring a thorough understanding of plan and contract member benefits.
Responsibilities
- Act as lead person for designated health plans, contracts, and customers
- Answer phone calls regarding order status
- Communicate claim denials to providers via mail, email, or fax
- Monitor delayed orders and provide updates to providers
- Review prior authorization requests
- Respond to inquiries beyond order status and denial reasons
- Assist Group Leads with onboarding new Customer Service Representatives
- Serve as a product specialist for lens styles, materials, options, and types; act as go-to for product-related questions in the absence of a Group Lead
- Unbox products, including frame inspections and recording received products into the system
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years’ previous related experience and/or training
- Strong communication skills
- Microsoft Office proficiency
