About the role
The Miami office is seeking a mid-to-senior level Corporate Associate with 3-5 years of experience in M&A transactions, preferably including private equity and other equity investments, joint ventures, corporate governance, licensing, and partnership issues. Knowledge of securities law, tech, and fund formation are a plus. Florida Bar is required.
Responsibilities
- Engage in a variety of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, joint ventures, corporate governance, licensing, and partnership issues.
- Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on securities law, tech, and fund formation matters.
- Collaborate with partners and other associates to develop and implement strategic plans.
- Assist in managing client relationships and building a strong reputation within the firm and the industry.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new business initiatives and strategies.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in corporate transactions, particularly in M&A, private equity, joint ventures, corporate governance, licensing, and partnership issues.
- Knowledge of securities law, tech, and fund formation.
- Florida Bar membership.
Qualifications
- Strong academic background, typically a JD from an accredited law school.
- Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
