Corporate Associate Attorney

About the role

A prominent Wisconsin-based law firm is seeking a Corporate Associate Attorney to join its growing Business & Corporate practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys working directly with clients, handling sophisticated business transactions, and collaborating with a highly respected team of legal professionals.

The ideal candidate will have experience advising businesses on a broad range of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions and general business transactions.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on a wide variety of corporate and business law matters
• Draft, review, and negotiate transactional documents and commercial agreements
• Assist with mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and other strategic transactions
• Counsel closely held businesses, middle-market companies, and entrepreneurs on day-to-day legal and operational matters
• Support due diligence efforts and transaction execution
• Work directly with clients and develop trusted advisor relationships
• Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice groups to provide comprehensive legal solutions

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active Wisconsin bar admission, or ability to obtain admission
• 4+ years of corporate law experience
• Experience with mergers and acquisitions strongly preferred
• Background or experience in business, accounting, finance, or tax matters is a plus
