Corporate Associate - Affordable Housing

About the role

This is a nationwide search for a junior to mid-level real estate associate to join Nelson Mullins' Affordable Housing group. The firm is an AmLaw100 and offers a unique opportunity for a lateral associate who wants to be part of an expanding team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage relationships with clients and colleagues
• Represent developers in the acquisition, development, and disposition of residential and commercial properties
• Assist in the negotiation and drafting of contracts, leases, and other legal documents
• Provide legal advice on regulatory compliance and compliance with local, state, and federal laws
• Participate in litigation and dispute resolution

Requirements

• 2-5 years of meaningful experience in affordable housing or real estate practice
• Knowledgeable in developer representation and financing for residential and commercial projects

Qualifications

• Excellent academic credentials
• Strong writing, analytical, and communications skills
• State bar of a major metropolitan city where Nelson Mullins has an office

Pay

The salary/wage for this role is $215,000 - $270,000 annually.
