About the role

The Corporate Accountant/Cash Reconciliation Specialist supports the company's accounting operations by performing daily cash reconciliations, maintaining general ledger accounts, and assisting with month-end and year-end close activities. This role ensures financial accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and timely reporting to management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
  • Aid in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
  • Maintain and analyze financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Monitor and improve accounting procedures and internal controls
  • Process fixed asset additions, depreciation, and disposals
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
  • Collaborate with departments across the organization regarding financial matters
  • Assist with special projects and financial analyses as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 1–3 years of corporate accounting experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

Work Environment

Full-time position. Anticipated overtime during month-end, quarter-end and year-end close periods or for special projects.
