About the role

The Corporate Manager – Accounting is responsible for providing accurate financial information and conducting financial analysis to support the company's financial goals. This role oversees multiple locations and is involved in various aspects of financial management including accounting, reporting, and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Carries out responsibilities in accordance with UNITED policies and applicable laws
  • Interview, hire, and train associates
  • Plan, assign, and direct work
  • Appraise performance
  • Address complaints and resolve problems
  • Builds positive associate morale
  • Ensures financial controls are followed
  • Prepares month end financial close out and monthly reconciliations
  • Ensures necessary journal entries are posted in a timely manner
  • Completes assigned balance sheet reconciliations
  • Maintains accuracy of financial postings
  • Participates in projects related to updates, modifications, or enhancements to financial systems – SAP S4 and Blackline
  • Reviews internal controls and provides input for potential changes to standard operating procedures
  • Provides financial analysis and information as needed

  • Minimum age 18 years old
  • Valid driver’s license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 3-5 years of related experience
  • Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) preferred
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • SAP or ERP system experience preferred
  • Blackline experience preferred
  • Effective written communication skills
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
