Responsibilities
- Oversee NCCI's corporate accounting operations
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial information provided to executive leadership, the Board of Directors, auditors, and other stakeholders
- Manage and direct assigned staff
- Develop and maintain corporate accounting policies, practices, and procedures
- Coordinate and prepare audited annual reports and quarterly unaudited financial statement packages
- Research and implement accounting standards
- Manage fixed assets accounting
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis in Accounting
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
- Five (5) years of corporate accounting experience or three years of audit experience with a Big Four or large public accounting firm
- Advanced knowledge of GAAP requirements
- Strong understanding of financial statement preparation and disclosures requirements
- Knowledge of internal controls over financial reporting
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to use independent judgment and sound decision-making skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and deadlines
Qualifications
- Two (2) or more years of people management experience or as a senior/lead providing feedback to others
- Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite
- Experience coordinating external audits
- Technical accounting research experience
Skills
- Strategic and hands-on accounting professional
