Copywriter

Job Summary

The Copywriter is responsible for concepting, writing, and editing direct-response and marketing copy across multiple formats, including ads, email, direct mail, landing pages, social media, websites, and sales materials. This role supports both B2C and B2B initiatives, partnering closely with designers and cross-functional teams to develop effective, on-brand campaigns that meet client goals.

Essential Job Functions

• Consult with clients and internal stakeholders to scope content needs and clarify business objectives across B2C, B2B, and B2B2C/agent audiences.
• Write, edit, and fact-check marketing and advertising copy across channels, ensuring accuracy, legal compliance, and adherence to brand or agent voice guidelines.
• Analyze campaign and business performance reports to optimize creative effectiveness and inform future copy approaches.
• Collaborate closely with designers and broader agency teams on ideation, concept development, and execution of integrated campaigns.
• Support digital testing initiatives, applying learnings from performance data to continuously improve messaging and results.
• Provide timely status updates and maintain clear, proactive communication with clients and internal partners to ensure alignment and successful delivery.

Education Requirements

A High School Diploma or equivalent required. A Bachelor's degree in relevant field preferred.

Experience Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience creating performance advertising and marketing copy for an agency, media company, or national brand.
• Experience and successful track record of collaborating in cross-functional organizations and within creative teams (designers, agencies).
• A portfolio demonstrating your skills in direct response marketing and advertising copywriting is required.

• Possesses adequate hearing, with or without correction, to communicate with co-workers, respond promptly to auditory signals or alarms, and discern sounds essential for maintaining safety and productivity in the workplace.
