About the Role
This role is designed for someone who enjoys hands-on mechanical work, problem-solving in the field, and working directly with customers. You will work alongside a team focused on delivering high-quality service and keeping equipment running during critical seasons. The position requires regular travel and is best suited for someone comfortable working on the road and in changing environments. Responsibilities
- Identify issues and complete repairs on air seeding and precision planting equipment.
- Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble mechanical components and systems.
- Perform field service work directly at customer locations.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Drive company service vehicles to transport tools, parts, and equipment.
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high-quality standard.
- Maintain accurate and organized work practices.
- Communicate clearly with team members and leadership regarding repair status and needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
Requirements
- Experience working with agricultural or heavy equipment preferred.
- Mechanically inclined with a strong understanding of basic mechanical systems.
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and general shop equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability and willingness to travel weekly for field service work (typically Monday through Thursday, with possible extended travel as needed).
- Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs and performing hands-on mechanical work.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and work ethic.
- Ability to take initiative and adapt in a dynamic work environment.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
- Agricultural or farming background is a strong plus.
