This is a full-time hybrid position Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm with a minimum of 3 days in the office each week and an office base of Greensboro or Burlington, NC. AuthoraCare Collective is a nonprofit hospice, palliative care, and home health organization serving patients and families across North Carolina. Our Finance team supports the financial integrity of our mission, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and strong internal controls so our organization can continue to serve those who need us most. AuthoraCare Collective is seeking an experienced Payroll & A/P Manager to lead our Accounts Payable, Claims, and Payroll functions. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional with solid payroll experience who is ready to take ownership of monthly payroll-related accounting, mentor a small team, and be a trusted partner to Finance leadership. Reporting to the Controller, the Payroll & A/P Manager will supervise the Payroll Specialist, Claims Analyst, and Accounts Payable Specialist, while personally owning full-cycle payroll processing, payroll review, and month-end reconciliations tied to payroll and accounts payable.

Responsibilities

• Lead Accounts Payable, Claims, and Payroll functions
• Take ownership of monthly payroll-related accounting
• Mentor a small team
• Serve as a trusted partner to Finance leadership
• Supervise the Payroll Specialist, Claims Analyst, and Accounts Payable Specialist
• Personally own full-cycle payroll processing, payroll review, and month-end reconciliations tied to payroll and accounts payable

Skills

• Solid payroll experience
• Hands-on accounting professional
• Experience with Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT, UKG/Kronos, Online Banking Portals, HCHB, SharePoint
• Ability to mentor a small team
• Strong internal controls
