Copy Of Education Support Paraprofessional (ESP)

181 days plus contracted holidays, 7 hours per day. Base rate: $16.31 per hour. Must have current Ohio Department of Education Monitoring Permit with ESEA Endorsement and FBI/BCI background check.

About the Role

Provide for the needs of special education students in the educational setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher with all activities and assignments.
• Assist in the personal hygiene and cleanliness of students in need.
• Work directly with individual and/or small groups of students to reinforce material initially introduced by the teacher.
• Assist in performing clerical duties and preparing progress reports as needed.
• Attend staff meetings regarding special education needs of their students.
• Perform such other duties as assigned by Teacher, Principal, Director of Special Education, or designee.

Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Possess a valid ESEA qualification certificate/license.
• Prior experience working with children preferred.
• Such additional qualifications as the Board may deem appropriate and necessary under law.

$16.31 per hour
