Copy - Assistant/Department Manager

This job posting is for a position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is a separate company and employer responsible for all employment matters at the restaurant, including hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling.

About the role

Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience. Some managers also lead Departments, overseeing systems like Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management. Department Managers set goals, delegate tasks, follow up on progress, and report results to their teams and other managers.

• Guest Service Department Manager: Ensures Crew and Managers deliver a great customer experience, executes sales promotions, trains service staff in procedures, and organizes Front Counter, McCafé, and Drive-Thru areas for optimal service.
• Kitchen Department Manager: Ensures the restaurant delivers high-quality food quickly and safely, controls food costs, and trains kitchen staff in production procedures, including new menu items.
• People Department Manager: Hires qualified crew, trains and schedules them to meet sales and profit goals, ensures a positive start for new employees, and motivates and recognizes staff throughout their employment.

Requirements

• Previous managerial experience preferred, ideally in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
• Positive team player with a flexible schedule and a passion for working in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be 18 years or older.
