About the role

Are you an entrepreneurial problem-solver who enjoys fixing things? Precision Garage Door Service is looking for garage door technicians who want to advance quickly and control their income. We provide training, a branded truck, and a steady flow of customers so you can get up and running fast. You’ll be the face of our brand, diagnosing, repairing, replacing, and installing garage doors while educating customers on service options and ensuring their complete satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair garage doors, openers, and related components on site
• Replace worn or broken door parts, install new doors, and replace springs
• Educate customers on repair options and preventive measures
• Review completed work with customers to ensure full understanding
• Sell services and new equipment using a good/better/best model and collect customer payments
• Maintain proper inventory of tools, equipment, and products in your vehicle

• Deliver quality work on the first visit

Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude and technical skills
• Ability to lift 50 lbs independently
• Ability to bend, climb, kneel, and stand for extended periods
• Comfort working in heat, cold, and unconditioned garage spaces
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with customers and resolve issues
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow established processes
• Basic computer/tablet proficiency; willingness to use digital tools
• No fear of technology and ability to use hand tools and mechanical equipment

Pay

Competitive salary that meets or exceeds comparable trades. During the 90-day training period you will receive an hourly base wage. After training you will earn commissions on completed work. Most technicians earn between $60,000 and $100,000 per year.
