Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair: Repair garage doors, door operators, replace worn or broken parts, install new equipment including doors, and replace springs.
• Educate the customer: Explain options for repairing the problem and preventing future issues. Review completed work with customers so they fully understand what was done.
• Sell services, repairs, and new equipment: Using our proven model (which we’ll train you on), sell services to customers using a good/better/best approach. Collect payment from customers.
• Manage inventory: Keep the right equipment, tools, and products in your vehicle to sell and repair equipment correctly.

Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude and technical skills.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds independently.
• Ability to bend, climb, kneel, and stand for long periods.
• Ability to work in heat and cold, both outdoors and in garages that may not have temperature control.
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with customers and resolve problems.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliability and ability to follow our customer service process.
• Basic computer/tablet skills (no fear of technology).
• Ability to use hand tools and operate mechanical equipment.

Garage door industry experience is preferred but not required—we will train you.

Pay and Benefits
