This is an on-site role in Barling, Arkansas.
About the role
The Operations Supervisor plays a key role in managing their team's workflow by assigning tasks, supporting staff, monitoring results, and reporting to senior management. They ensure safety and efficiency by improving processes, setting team targets, and acting as a link between employees and upper management. Supervisors are also responsible for coaching and resolving issues.
Responsibilities
- Promote a safe environment for the customer's product, associates, and temporary workers.
- Follow established operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling, and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
- Provide 100% customer satisfaction.
- Build a positive teamwork environment by listening and communicating with all associates.
- Maintain attendance and tardiness records.
- Monitor daily compliance with safety procedures.
- Investigate accidents and prepare reports.
- Provide on-the-job coaching and training to ensure associate skills are maintained at desired levels.
- Coordinate vacations, payroll, time sheets, complaints, and associate concerns regarding productivity and quality of work.
- Oversee associates.
- Maintain proper Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for food-grade warehouse.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with some college-level study is required.
- 2+ years of experience in a supervisor warehousing role.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
- Microsoft Office Suites experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Lean Six Sigma experience a plus.
- Inventory experience a plus.
- Third-Party Logistics (3PL) experience a plus.
Pay
Attractive annual salary range of $70,000 - $75,000 plus bonus.
