Production Manager
About the role
Baxter & Woodman has a rewarding opportunity for a Production Manager. We are seeking qualified applicants for our Houston or Katy, TX office. The candidate shall be expected to work in a design team setting to complete bid documents/drawings.
Responsibilities
- Aid in planning, developing, coordinating, and ensuring the successful completion of projects.
- Develop, implement, and maintain CAD standards, templates, and department-wide standard operating procedures.
- Produce and edit drawings, exhibits, site plans, plan & sections, plan & profiles, and various civil details from direction by the design engineer.
- Build teams, and assign staff to projects based on knowledge, skills, and availability.
- Review project drawings and provide assistance as needed to improve quality, efficiency, and competence of work being performed.
- Maintain department performance and evaluate staff regularly.
- Recognize staffing needs, assist with hiring.
- Plan department efforts, workload, and budget.
- Communicate and coordinate efforts and ideas with peers and management team.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in AutoCAD, Civil 3D computer program, manipulating Paper Space, Model Space, Base Drawings, X-reference drawings, and plot styles.
- 6+ years of experience in producing civil engineering drawings for public water, wastewater, storm water, and roadway infrastructure systems.
- Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Autodesk Revit and/or MEP experience is a plus.
- Strong written, verbal, computer, and organizational skills.
- Periodic travel will be required between regional offices (own transportation).

- Associates degree preferred in Computer-Aided Design, Drafting, or related field.

Pay
The pay range for this role is $100,000 - $130,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.

Flexible work arrangements, including the option to work from home on half Fridays and varied schedules.
