About the role
This position serves as the primary contact for dealers on assigned customer orders. You will collaborate with customers, dealers, sales, production, materials, quality, and engineering teams to clearly define and deliver the products we build.
Responsibilities
- Process special requests and assist with sourcing special items.
- Process customer orders and finalize them for production with the dealer sales team.
- Answer product-related questions from the outside sales team.
- Resolve operations issues with the dealer sales department, including change orders and customer inquiries.
- Train and support dealer sales teams and sales coordinators on systems, processes, and procedures.
- Complete special requests for options and pricing independently.
Requirements
- Ability to interpret complex tasks into manufacturing language for ambulance production.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the manufacturing team, including presenting to small groups.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Advanced customer service, problem-solving, time management, and project management skills.
- Familiarity with all aspects of specialty vehicle manufacturing (body, interior, exterior, electrical, and their interdependencies).
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Prior Quotewriter experience preferred.
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in specialty vehicle manufacturing or a related field.
- Two (2) years of ambulance manufacturing experience preferred.
Physical Demands
- Regularly stand, walk, use hands to handle objects, and reach with arms.
- Frequently walk and occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Occasionally sit for extended periods.
- May lift and/or move up to 40 pounds (assistance provided as needed).
- Requires several hours of daily computer screen time.
Work Environment
- 80% indoor office and 20% production floor (may vary by location).
- Personal protective equipment required on the plant floor: safety glasses (or prescription safety glasses with side shields), earplugs, and steel-toed shoes.
