As part of the Publishing Operations team, the Coordinator, Operations supports the accuracy and flow of important publishing operations data, including contract, payment, author, payee, and vendor information. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with details, learning business systems, and helping teams stay organized and accurate.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update contract, payment, author, payee, and vendor information across title management and financial systems.
- Support payment-related processes by reviewing data, updating schedules, and helping ensure information is accurate before payments are released.
- Research and resolve basic data issues, such as duplicate records, missing information, or inconsistent details across systems.
- Partner with Finance, Contracts Operations, Royalty Accounting, Managing Editorial, and Audio teams to answer questions and support day-to-day operational needs.
- Assist with data cleanup, reconciliation, and special projects that help improve process consistency, reporting accessibility, and system accuracy.
- Assess current workflows and suggest automation solutions to improve efficiency.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in publishing operations, finance operations, data entry, administrative support, or a related role.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Comfort working with spreadsheets and learning new systems (e.g., Biblio, JDE, Klopotek, and related title management and financial systems).
- Good organizational skills and the ability to manage routine tasks and follow established processes.
- Clear written communication and a collaborative, service-oriented approach.
- Curiosity, dependability, and a willingness to learn contract, payment, royalty, and vendor processes over time.

Pay
The salary for this position is $55,000. The quoted salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect, and offers may be tailored based on experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, and other relevant factors.
