Job Summary

The Coordinator of Student Recruitment and Engagement is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing special events, supporting the enrollment process, and engaging with the community to promote Cristo Rey Jesuit High School Milwaukee.

Essential Functions

  • Establishes a pipeline program for students grades 5-7th from targeted schools.
  • Plans and coordinates on- and off-campus admissions events.
  • Serves as a liaison with appropriate departments, leading the Student and Parent Ambassador Programs, scheduling ambassadors for events, providing logistical support for school programs, and offering administrative support.
  • Maintains a social media presence for admissions-related content.
  • Oversees the work of admissions student workers.
  • Engages with the community by meeting with parents, prospective applicants, and school representatives.
  • Provides administrative support to the department and main office, including phone calls, organizing mailings, and other department needs.
  • Coordinates and conducts tours of the school and other activities for prospective students and their parents.
  • Manages department database, collecting, evaluating, and maintaining information from prospective students.
  • Prepares student application and Choice application files for review by the Admissions Committee and Choice Administrator.
  • Develops and fosters professional relationships with potential students and their families, faculty, and staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Recruitment and Enrollment.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Experience in school recruitment preferred.
  • Experience with Milwaukee Parental Choice Program preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish is required (written and spoken).
  • Knowledge and understanding of the community served by Cristo Rey Jesuit.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task accurately between tasks and maintain focus in a vibrant school setting.
  • Attentive listener with the ability to respond to questions asked by prospective students and parents regarding the school, its policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of service to all customers and stakeholders.
  • Willingness and availability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Competence with Microsoft Office software including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and efficiently as an individual.
  • Flexibility and adaptability as school operations develop.
  • A deep belief that all students deserve excellent, Catholic, college preparatory education.
  • Ability to communicate well with both Cristo Rey Jesuit students and parents.
  • Valid driver's license; must be insurable with a good driving record.
