Primary Responsibilities
- Aid in managing the CARE caseload, assisting students with behavioral issues and other obstacles.
- Support background and conduct checks for internal and external parties.
- Assist the Assistant Director in facilitating Student Absence policies, Student Relief Fund, and the Late Withdrawal Process.
- Participate in the CARE Team in the absence of the Director or Assistant Director.
- Collaborate with other offices on student programs, community building, and leadership development.
- Develop and provide educational outreach and training on reporting pathways, CARE Team, and conduct-related information.
- Provide classroom presentations on office services and resources to faculty, staff, and students.
- Represent the office on various committees, search committees, and other Division-wide committees.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Two years’ experience in student conduct, behavioral intervention, or student advising.
- Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational, task management, and leadership skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Computer literacy and database experience.
- The ability to manage and complete tasks in a timely manner and maintain accurate records and files.
- The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree, preference given to degrees and experience in higher education, student affairs, or related fields.
- Student Affairs experience, including knowledge of student development theory and applicable laws such as the Clery Act, Title IX, and FERPA.
Pay and Schedule
The annual pay for this position is $44,500.00.
